Little Free Libraries
The Little Libraries project of Junior League of the Shoals was launched during the 2020–2021 League year as part of our commitment to promoting literacy and community connection. These charming, free-standing libraries were thoughtfully placed to make books more accessible to children and families across our region. Today, you’ll find at least one Little Library in each county where the Junior League of the Shoals has members, Colbert, Franklin and Lauderdale, ensuring that our impact reaches every corner of our community.
We invite everyone to participate in the spirit of sharing by visiting our Little Libraries — take a book, leave a book, and help us spread the love of reading. Whether you’re donating a favorite story or discovering a new one, every interaction helps strengthen literacy and community ties throughout the Shoals area.
Our Little Libraries go hand in hand with our Read Across the Shoals Initative.
